                           Giuseppe Torelli (1658 - 1709) wrote many pieces for Trumpet and strings. He was based in Bologna, Italy

               Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 - 1767) was a prolific composer from Germany.

              Aaron Copland (1900 - 1990) was an American composer. This beautiful piece for Trumpet, Cor Anglais (Alison Jepson) and Strings 
                    was written as incidental music for a play by Irwin Shaw.

               Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni (1671 - 1751) was an Italian composer.

               Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643 - 1704) was a prolific French composer.
TRACK 9  Ode for the New Year by Boyce                 
               William Boyce (1711 - 1779) is regarded as one of the most important English born composers of the 18th century.

TRACK 14  The Trumpet Shall Sound from MESSIAH by Handel     
                 George Frederic Handel (1685 - 1759) was a German born composer who became a naturalized British subject in 1727.                                                        He was much admired and famous for his oratorios, operas, anthems and organ concertos.  
TRACK 15  Concerto Number 1 (1st mvt) by Mozart          
                 Wolfgang Armadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791) was a German composer who wrote very little for solo trumpet. 
                       This concerto was originally for French Horn in D major but this version is played on piccolo trumpet one octave higher.

TRACK 18  ADAGIO from Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo    
                 Joaquin Rodrigo Vidre (1901 - 1999) was a Spanish composer who wrote this amazing concerto for guitar.
TRACK 19  Domine Deus from GLORIA by Vivaldi    
                 Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (1678 - 1741) was a famous Italian composer. The soprano soloist is Gina Sanders. 
TRACK 20  Fanfare for the King's Supper by Mouret           
                 Jean - Joseph Mouret (1682 - 1738) was a French composer in the court of Louis XIV 
TRACK 21  Lascia Ch'io Pianga by Handel 
TRACK 22  Prelude to the Royal Fireworks Music by Handel
TRACK 23  Air Trompette by Telemann
TRACK 24  Suo Gan (trad. Welsh)             
                 This is a lovely traditional Welsh lullaby thought to be over 400 years old.

                 Henry Purcell (1659 - 1695) is considered to be one of the greatest English composers.
TRACK 27  Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke               
                    Jeremiah Clarke (1674 - 1707) was an English composer and organist. This piece was originally wrongly attributed to Purcell.

TRACK 31  Nessun Dorma by Puccini              
                 Giacomo Puccini (1858 - 1924) was an Italian composer of many loved operas. 
                        This aria must be a contender for the most popular one ever. 
TRACK 32  Gethsemane by Lloyd Webber      
                 Andrew Lloyd Webber (1948 - ) is an outstanding English composer of musical theatre.
                        This powerful piece from "Superstar" lends itself well to the trumpet.  
TRACK 33  Panis Angelicus (with Gina Sanders) by Franck    
                Cesar - Jean - Guillaume - Hubert Franck (1822 - 1890) was a French composer, pianist and organist.
TRACK 34  Trumpet concerto (mvt 2) by Haydn  
                 Joseph Haydn (1732 - 1809) was an Austrian composer who is famous for many symphonies and of course this trumpet concerto. 
TRACK 35  CANTATA 51 (with Gina Sanders) by J.S. Bach
                    Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750) A magnificent composer, J S Bach is revered through the ages for his work's musical                                                   complexities and stylistic innovations.
